Is scar and ACR the same?
The ACR is plastic, the SCAR is anodized aluminum. ACR- Uses standard AR15 magazines, tested with Magpul PMAGS and USGI magazines without issue. SCAR- Uses standard AR15 magazines, Tested fine with USGI magazines however will not accept PMAGS without modification.
Is the ACR still being produced?
As of 2020, the ACR is no longer in production due to Bushmaster’s shuttering after parent company Remington declared bankruptcy.
