Rag and Flag is an annual NUS-wide event with two main components! Through Flag, we conduct flag days and fundraising events for our beneficiary, which is CARE SG for this year of 2022….rag and flag.

What is Fass Rag and Flag?
School Fundraiser. Rag & Flag is an event unique to NUS, held in tandem to celebrate the spirit of giving and community. Each year, students fan out across the island to gather charitable donations from the public. Known as ‘flagging’, these donations are contributed to the needy beneficiaries of Singapore.

Rag Day activity was introduced first in South Africa in 1925 by the University of Pretoria. When it was introduced it was called “The Procession”. It is still being practiced to date and bears the same name.
