Where Are Here We Go maps stored?
The Here WeGo Maps app uses the “Internal memory” of the mobile device by default to store the downloaded maps. In the “Storage memory” option, change to “External memory”. This option may show a different name from “External memory”; If so, simply choose the alternative name that appears available.
How do you use HERE WeGo app?
Select your map by drilling down to it through the list: HERE WeGo will then download your chosen map to your local storage so it can be used offline. You’ll see the download screen while it gets the map and then once complete the Dustbin Icon appears so you can delete the map at a later date.
How do I update here we go maps?
On Android and iOS, you’ll get a notification from us when it’s time to go in and update it, simply follow the instructions given to update your downloadable maps. Updating the maps is easy, however we suggest you connect to a Wi-Fi network to save your mobile data. Tap the ‘Update all’ button.

With HERE Maps, you can download the entire state of California for less than 540MB. Google Maps needs about the same amount of space for just part of Northern California.

Is HERE better than Waze?
If you travel to remote areas frequently, you should go with HERE WeGo and download maps. In the city, both will work fine, but if you want to stay up to date with your surroundings, Waze is better. For public transport, taxi, ride-share, or walk, HERE WeGo is your choice.
How do you use downloaded maps?
After you download an area, use the Google Maps app just like you normally would. If your internet connection is slow or absent, your offline maps will guide you to your destination. Tip: Transit, bicycling, or walking directions are unavailable offline.
