How do you put metal stakes in the ground?
I have three methods that I use:
- Method #1: “Patience” – Push the stake in the ground as much as possible and wait.
- Method #2: I use my hori hori plant knife to cut a hole in the ground and then I can insert the stake into the hole.
- Method #3: Use a bulb auger.
How do you make garden stakes hard ground?

High tech!
- Take water bottle and pour a small amount of water on area where you plan to place tent stake.
- Wait a minute or two for water to settle a bit.
- Place stake.
- Use the BAR to tap in stake..or even your foot if the ground is now soft enough.
- Repeat until all needed stakes are in sufficiently.
