Do you need to read The Selection novellas?
Since I think everyone should start their journey with The Selection, I’d recommend holding off on reading novellas until after Book 1. I’ve placed The Prince after we meet Maxon, but The Queen later in the story, once we’ve had more time with Maxon’s dear mother.
Should I read The Heir and the crown?
Overall, The Heir and The Selection aren’t extremely necessary to read if you’re already satisfied with the ending from the first three books in the series. While I enjoyed The Heir, I extremely disliked The Crown which left a bad taste in my mouth for the series as a whole.

I got lucky enough to have the chance to review a fun book this month called The Selection by Kiera Cass. It is a great clean read book for teens, and all the moms will love it, too! The Selection is a Young Adult “dystopian” romance which is an imaginary world that is considered anti-utopia.
