What happened to the Pentax Q?
Introduced in 2011, the now-discontinued Pentax Q was at one time the world’s smallest and lightest interchangeable lens camera system. Four separate Q-mount cameras were produced before Pentax decided to pull the plug. The Q10 in 2012, the Q7 in 2013 and the Q-S1 in 2014.

There is a significant difference: The Sigma Pentax HSM lenses won’t autofocus with any Pentax cameras that aren’t SDM compatible. This includes the ist-D, ist-DS/DS2, ist-DL/DL2, K100D, K110D and all film cameras. If you use one of these older Pentax cameras with a Sigma HSM lens you’ll only have manual focus.

Will Nikon lenses fit Pentax?
Interestingly you can mount some Nikon lenses directly on a Pentax body. Not very securely but it does work. But the smart thing to do is not to waste $30 on the adaptor, sell the Pentax lenses and buy a Nikon lens.
Are Pentax and Canon lenses compatible?
The Pentax adaptor is NOT suitable for use on a Canon 5D or 6D body. Although the lens will fit physically, other functions like autofocus which are dependent on communication between the camera body and the camera lens will no longer function using the lens adapters.
