Does Yankee Candle take back jars?
If you have removed all of the wax, the wick, and the label, then your empty glass jars can be curbside recycled — but please recycle all of your candle jar lids through TerraCycle®, as lids are not accepted by local recycling programs.

Can you return a broken Yankee Candle?

When should you throw away a Yankee Candle?
Candles should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. It is recommended that after burning for four hours, candles be extinguished, allowed to cool for two hours, and trimmed before relighting. Follow the half inch rule. Discontinue use of a candle when ½” of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.
What do you do with empty Yankee candles?

Will Yankee Candle replace broken candle?
Yankee Candle accepts returns for all available products under its Happiness Guarantee that allows any customer to change their mind about the purchase they made. If you want to return a candle, fragrance, candleholder, or another item, you can opt for a refund or an exchange.
Can you still burn a cracked candle?
Extinguish the flame, let candle cool, trim the wick slightly, and light it up again. If the jar is cracked, stop using the candle – If you drop, chip, or otherwise crack your candle jar, immediately discontinue use. Burning a candle in a broken jar is very dangerous as wax can melt through even the smallest of chip.
Should I put the lid on my candle after blowing it out?
Putting the lid on a burning candle deprives the flame of the oxygen it needs to keep going. A candle flame is essentially a continuous combustion reaction between oxygen and hydrocarbons (wax) to form water vapor, carbon dioxide, and heat.
Can I return a used candle to Yankee Candle?
Yankee candles do accept the return of all available if the customer isn’t satisfied with their products but some products cannot be returned such as a completely burnt candle. But a used candle can be returned if the customer isn’t happy with the product.
Why do Yankee candles go black?
Candle glass turns black due to the accumulation of soot. Any type of candle can create soot, though it’s more common with certain types of waxes, such as paraffin wax. Soot is created as a result of an incomplete combustion reaction, and it can be caused by several different factors.
Are you supposed to light all 3 wicks?
If you decide to burn just one wick at a time, still do the first burn with all three wicks — then alternate between wicks for the single burns, so that you keep the level of wax more or less even across the surface of the candle.
